Our principles
No operation is free of risk. What a clinic can do is reduce avoidable risks, explain the remaining ones honestly and look after patients well if something does not go to plan. These are the processes we follow.
How we work
Infection is the complication patients worry about most after implant surgery. Every penile implant operation follows the non-touch protocol: careful skin preparation, intravenous antibiotics, glove and instrument changes, a sterile window drape and an antibiotic-coated device.
Before any procedure, your surgeon explains what the operation involves, the realistic outcomes, the possible risks and the alternatives, including not having surgery. You have time to ask questions, and you sign the consent form only when you are ready.
We use implants from established manufacturers. The make, model and serial number of your device are recorded in your medical file, and you receive the details to keep. This matters if you ever need care from another doctor, or if a manufacturer issues a safety notice.
You are checked before you leave Istanbul and given written instructions for your recovery. After you return home we stay in contact online, and you can reach the team with questions or concerns.
Before treatment
Safe surgery begins well before the operating theatre. Your medical history is reviewed before you travel, and in Istanbul you have a full urological examination and the tests your surgeon needs.
In hospital
Operations take place in accredited private hospitals in Istanbul with modern operating theatres, anaesthesia teams and inpatient wards. The hospital for your treatment is confirmed in your written treatment plan.
Every treatment carries some risk. Even with careful processes, complications such as infection, bleeding or device problems can occur. Your surgeon will discuss your individual risks with you before you decide, and results vary from person to person.
