Penile implant surgery is the core of our work, led by Prof. Kadıoğlu. Inflatable and malleable devices are chosen with each patient, and every operation uses the non-touch technique.
Infection is the complication men worry about most after implant surgery. Most infections come from bacteria that live normally on the skin, so the whole protocol is built around keeping the implant away from skin and gloves.
In the series published by Dr J. François Eid and colleagues, this approach combined with antibiotic-coated implants was associated with an infection rate of 0.46%.1 Your own risk depends on your health, and your surgeon will talk it through with you.

All questionsWho is a penile implant suitable for?
Men with erectile dysfunction that has not responded to, or cannot be treated with, tablets, injections or vacuum devices. This often follows prostate surgery, diabetes, Peyronie's disease or pelvic injury. The surgeon confirms suitability after examining you.
How long do I need to stay in Istanbul?
Usually about six days for implant surgery, including your examination, the operation, one or two nights in hospital and a final check before you fly home.
How much does a penile implant cost in Istanbul?
Our Basic penile prosthesis package includes the implant, surgeon's fee, hospital stay, hotel and transfers. You receive a personalised quote after your free consultation.

What are the risks?
As with any operation, risks include infection, bleeding, mechanical failure of the device over time and erosion. An implant is a permanent change to the erection tissue. Your surgeon will explain your individual risks before you decide.
