What is the Coloplast Titan?
The Titan is a three-piece inflatable penile implant made by Coloplast, a Danish medical device company. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction when tablets, injections or vacuum devices have not worked or are unsuitable. The Titan Touch is the current version with a one-touch release pump.

How it works
The implant has three connected parts, all placed inside the body:
- Two cylinders in the erection chambers of the penis. They fill with fluid to create an erection and expand in girth.
- A pump in the scrotum, which you squeeze to inflate the cylinders and press at the release area to deflate them.
- A reservoir of sterile saline, placed behind the abdominal wall.
When deflated, the penis is soft and hangs naturally. When inflated, it becomes firm enough for intercourse for as long as you wish.
Key features
Bioflex cylinders
The Titan's cylinders are made of Bioflex, a polyurethane material developed by Coloplast. You can read the manufacturer's information in the Coloplast Bioflex brochure (PDF).
Antibiotic-absorbing hydrophilic coating
The device has a hydrophilic (water-attracting) coating. Just before implantation the surgeon soaks it in an antibiotic solution of their choice, which the coating absorbs. This lets the antibiotic be tailored to the patient, for example if you are allergic to certain antibiotics.

One-touch release (Titan Touch)
To deflate the Titan Touch, you press and hold the release area of the pump. Many men find this simple to learn. Your surgeon or a member of the team teaches you at follow-up, usually a few weeks after surgery.
Sizes for different anatomies
Cylinders are available in a range of lengths, and a narrower version exists for men with smaller or scarred erection chambers. The size is chosen during surgery after careful measurement.
Who may suit the Titan?
The Titan may be a good option for many men who want an inflatable implant, including men with diabetes, after prostate surgery or with Peyronie's disease. It may be preferred if you are allergic to the antibiotics used in other coated devices.

Surgery and recovery
The operation takes around 45–60 minutes under general or spinal anaesthesia, usually through a single small incision in the upper scrotum. Most men stay in hospital for up to two nights and remain in Istanbul for about six days.

Risks
Before you decide. Risks include infection, bleeding or haematoma, mechanical failure over time, erosion, movement of the pump or reservoir, and changes in how the penis looks or feels. An implant is a permanent change: if it is removed, other treatments for erectile dysfunction are unlikely to work. Results vary, and your surgeon will explain your individual risks. If problems occur, revision surgery may be needed.

Questions about the Titan
Is the Titan the same as the Titan Touch?
They are closely related. Titan Touch refers to the version with the one-touch release pump, which is the device included in our packages.
Does the Titan use InhibiZone?
No. InhibiZone is a Boston Scientific feature. The Titan uses a hydrophilic coating that absorbs an antibiotic solution chosen by the surgeon.
Will the Titan make my penis longer?
No. The Titan expands in girth and restores rigidity. It does not add length beyond what your penis allows.
